Jack Vettriano painting goes on sale

Christie’s are set to auction a Jack Vettriano painting in London. Works by Cadell, Peploe, Fergusson and Hunter will form part of the first ever Christie’s auction dedicated to Scottish art on May 25. The paintings were collected by Sir James Hunter Blair, the late owner of the Blairquhan Castle and estate in Maybole, Ayrshire, in the 1960s and 1970s. The works have been hanging at Blairquhan and have been in a purpose-built gallery there since 1984.
